Mom is staying another night at Hotel Swedish.  Her heart is still in rhythm, but she still has an infection in her arm they are monitoring and treating with IV antibiotics.  As the great performer Paula Abdul once said, "two steps forward, one step back."

Last night she had a miraculous eight hours of sleep - hoping the same for her tonight.  While my mom still needs to limit visitors and focus on rest, we called in help today from her dear friend Kay to be here while my mom got on the call with the oncologist.

Dad had his CT scan today and met with the oncologist today for the first time.  The PET scan is on Thursday, so we are still in the information gathering phase, but I think the family feels comfort in my dad now being in the care of an oncologist - a kind one too.  

As we take it one day at a time - please continue to pray for comfort in the wait.  My mom and dad really appreciate knowing that others are praying for their healing.
